As an Access Control Officer within a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. This post requires both armed and driving responsibilities. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
Carry out security-related procedures based on site-specific policies, including access control protocols for government facilities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or breaches of access control protocols to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site management to maintain a secure environment at the location.
