About The Position

As a Security Officer Area Patrol in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and innovation while working as part of a team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Security-related experience of 2+ years is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, riders, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, stations, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, report suspicious behavior and/or unattended items, and document observations, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with post orders.
  • Support orderly operations at the location by providing directions, assisting with crowd management during peak periods and/or service disruptions, and following Allied Universal standards and site-specific instructions.
