As a Security Officer Area Patrol in Fairfield, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional atmosphere through strong communication and customer service. You will contribute to daily operations with a caring, agile, and reliable approach, working as part of a team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and Allied Universal guidelines at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site contacts, supervisors, and/or local responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout production areas, parking areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document deliveries, contractor arrivals, and other site access events according to post instructions.
  • Support emergency response activities and assist with communication during operational disruptions, evacuations, medical events, and/or weather-related situations as directed by site procedures.
