As a Security Officer Area Patrol in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations through required reports and communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify entry and exit activity in accordance with site policies, while assisting with visitor processing, credential checks, and/or direction-giving as needed.
• Support emergency and incident response by following post orders, communicating with site contacts and/or first responders, and helping to address security-related issues across the location.
