About The Position

As a Security Officer - Apartment Patrol in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and security-related protocols, and/or supporting emergency response activities when directed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
• Monitor entry points and common areas, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization when applicable, and report policy violations and/or concerning behavior through established reporting channels.
• Complete routine reports, shift logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives during shift turnovers.
