You will conduct routine patrols across assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with clear communication and service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at a technology and office location by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response guidance as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, lobbies, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter; note unusual activity and report concerns per post orders to help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and maintain sign-in logs and issued badges per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate personnel and/or public responders when needed and document actions taken.
  • Complete patrol and incident reports with clear, accurate details; communicate observations and shift updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
