Job Description As a Security Officer - Apartment Complex Patrol in Arlington, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading research and technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will observe and report unusual activity, support access control expectations, and respond to requests with professional communication and customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and Allied Universal post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or hazard concerns.
• Monitor entry points and verify identification, visitor logs, badges, and/or deliveries as required, directing individuals to the appropriate location while maintaining a professional presence.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating emergency response activities and/or notifications per site protocol.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and Allied Universal management.
