As a Security Officer Distribution Field Patrol in Bloomfield, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access monitoring and customer interactions. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, operational concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry for visitors and/or vendors, and report suspicious activity, damaged equipment, and/or unsecured areas to the appropriate personnel.
• Support loss prevention and inventory protection efforts by observing shipping and receiving activity, checking restricted areas, and reporting irregular movements, trespassing, and/or after-hours concerns.
