As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Monitor in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a residential apartment location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support residents, guests, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and first aid certification are preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or public emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for maintenance and/or policy concerns.
Monitor access points, amenity spaces, and other community areas, assisting with visitor-related questions, rule awareness, and reporting unusual activity.
Support a professional residential environment by preparing clear reports, following post orders, and communicating important updates during shift changes and/or with Allied Universal leadership.
