As a Security Officer Afternoon Patrol in Santa Fe, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observed activity according to site expectations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrance areas, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, assist with access and loss prevention support, and report suspicious behavior to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Support closing and opening procedures, help to deter unauthorized access, and communicate clearly with management regarding security-related issues and/or customer service needs.
