As a Security Officer Access Verification in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and provide welcoming customer service. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly with site personnel, and support a professional environment. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to designated entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor access in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and contractor entry records and communicate access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, access points, and adjacent work areas. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
