As a Security Officer Access Verification Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a professional, secure environment. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and help deter security-related incidents through attentive access-control procedures. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges or passes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site requirements.
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian access to restricted areas, inspect authorized deliveries as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access control points, perimeter areas, and surrounding business locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
