About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Lacey, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy retail distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. This role combines customer service and communication with hands-on security-related responsibilities. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access control procedures and customer protocols at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorized access, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including entrances, loading and receiving areas, and perimeter points, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, reporting maintenance or policy concerns, and helping to deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and/or disruptions.
