As a Security Officer Access Screening in Whitestown, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support smooth site operations. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control duties, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and visitor access points to help support authorized entry and document arrivals, departures, deliveries, and/or contractor activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require security-related attention.
  • Prepare clear reports of daily activities, access control events, and incident observations while following Allied Universal standards and site-specific policies.
