About The Position

As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will use X-ray screening and access control procedures to help identify security-related concerns, support site access, and maintain a professional presence. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, vehicles, and/or deliveries entering and exiting the distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Inspect packages, parcels, and freight as directed, reporting suspicious, damaged, or unauthorized items and activities to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and complete required incident documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
