Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, control rooms, and/or operational spaces.
  • Screen visitors, deliveries, and/or vehicles in accordance with post orders, document activity in required logs, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarms, access issues, evacuations, and/or communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations to observe conditions and report security-related concerns, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by site.
