About The Position

As a Security Officer - Days - Access Screener in Chandler, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by screening individuals and materials, supporting access control procedures, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen visitors, packages, deliveries, and authorized personnel in accordance with access control requirements; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor entry points, visitor logs, and screening equipment, escalating irregularities or prohibited items according to established procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, screening areas, business spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
