Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Point Driver in Sulphur, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location in an access control post, where you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage entry logs, and support a smooth flow of people and vehicles. You will complete routine rounds nearby, respond to requests, and communicate clearly to help identify and help deter security-related issues. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical processing location. Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification and authorizations, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs. Conduct screening of pedestrians, packages, and/or vehicles as required by post orders, and report prohibited items or suspicious activity through the established chain of communication. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and assisting with site response procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and perimeter points, and report maintenance concerns, unsecured doors, and/or unusual conditions. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience. At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred. Requirements
