About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Point Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location in an access control post, where you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage entry logs, and support a smooth flow of people and vehicles. You will complete routine rounds nearby, respond to requests, and communicate clearly to help identify and help deter security-related issues. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach every day.

Requirements

  • 1+ years Law Enforecement
  • Drivers License
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical processing location.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification and authorizations, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Conduct screening of pedestrians, packages, and/or vehicles as required by post orders, and report prohibited items or suspicious activity through the established chain of communication.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and assisting with site response procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and perimeter points, and report maintenance concerns, unsecured doors, and/or unusual conditions.
