About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Desk Driver in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will support access control by checking credentials, issuing and managing badges, and guiding visitors and contractors with clear communication and customer service. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine patrols, document security-related activity using a computer or tablet, and help protect operations through teamwork, integrity, and innovation. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Operate entry and exit control points by verifying identification, processing badges, managing visitor and delivery logs, and directing traffic to authorized areas.
  • Monitor and document alarms, cameras, and other access control systems, and report unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, process areas, and perimeter lines, noting and reporting security-related concerns and/or hazards to appropriate personnel.
