As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet team members and drivers, verify credentials, manage visitor and delivery access, and monitor entry points and camera activity for potential security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce unwanted activity, and provide clear, professional communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or shipping documentation, and directing drivers, visitors, and employees according to post orders.
• Monitor and document inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer activity, including seal checks and yard access permissions, and report irregularities through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting dispatch, first responders, and site leadership as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, docks, yard areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
