As an Access Control Officer at a tech, media, and telecom location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, access control screening, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed at a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
• Control access at entrances and restricted areas by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or badging, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate destinations.
• Monitor alarm panels, access control systems, and/or CCTV feeds, and document unusual activity, maintenance issues, and policy exceptions per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or local emergency services as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas, noting and reporting hazards, unsecured doors, and/or suspicious behavior per site procedures.
