About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Operations in Shelby Township, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or employees by following site-specific procedures, screening access requests, and supporting security-related protocols at entry and exit points.
• Monitor doors, gates, lobbies, and/or other controlled access areas to help confirm that only authorized individuals are admitted to the location.
• Verify credentials, visitor registrations, deliveries, and/or contractor access while maintaining accurate logs, reports, and communication with site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and relay detailed information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, check for irregular conditions, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
