About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Monitoring Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support badge access activities that help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in job state. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and document the entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries, helping to support authorized access throughout the location.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor information in accordance with site requirements, reporting unusual activity or policy concerns to the appropriate contact.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established security-related procedures and communication protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, buildings, and perimeter areas as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
