About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Monitor in Cedar Fort, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, screening entry points, and supporting security-related protocols at the location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, documenting visitor activity, issuing passes when appropriate, and reporting unusual activity or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter, noting conditions that could impact operations or require security-related follow-up.
  • Support location policies related to deliveries, contractor access, and restricted areas in a food and beverage environment, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptions to normal operations.
