As a Security Officer - Access Monitor in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will use computer or tablet systems, support alarm panel and badge access activities, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities, as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site policies, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
