Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific access control procedures, screening visitors, checking credentials, and supporting security-related protocols for a healthcare location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, help to deter unauthorized access, and document visitor, vendor, and contractor activity in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, lobbies, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns and report them promptly.
  • Support badge and key control processes, assist with directing staff and guests, and complete required reports related to access activity, incidents, and policy exceptions.
