Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional site experience. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication that help to deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, manage visitor sign-in processes, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related events according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including inspection of gates, fencing, parking areas, and other access points as assigned.
  • Communicate with site personnel, drivers, and guests regarding entry requirements, prohibited items, and location rules, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contact.
