About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Management in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry points, monitor activity, and support security-related operations through visible presence and routine patrols. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, check visitor and delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, gate areas, trailer yards, loading zones, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Maintain logs of visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity, report unusual conditions, and follow Allied Universal post orders and client-directed procedures.
