Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points at a technology, media, and telecommunications location; verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to incidents, unauthorized-access attempts, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Monitor security-related systems, including access-control equipment and cameras where assigned, and report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, the business, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
