About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Gate Monitor Weekdays in Council Bluffs, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol assigned areas within a food and beverage location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. You will interact with staff and visitors, support a welcoming atmosphere, and utilize technology to assist with access management. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry only to authorized individuals.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns in and around the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to support security-related protocols specific to the food and beverage environment.
