About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Gate Driver in San Bernardino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will focus on access control by greeting drivers and visitors, checking credentials, managing entry and exit logs, and supporting dock and yard activity. You will maintain a visible presence, perform routine patrols as needed, and communicate clearly with site leaders to help address security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, backed by a caring, reliable, and integrity-driven team.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Operate access control by verifying identification, processing visitor and vendor check-ins and/or check-outs, issuing badges or passes, and directing drivers to the appropriate gate, dock, or staging area.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound traffic for the facility, help to deter unauthorized entry, and maintain accurate logs for personnel, visitors, and deliveries.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, gates, trailer yards, parking areas, and building perimeter, and report maintenance or security-related concerns per site procedure.
