As a Security Officer Controlled Entry in Mechanicsburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support security-related procedures for employees, visitors, and deliveries. This role offers the chance to stay visible, provide exceptional customer service, and help to deter incidents through strong communication and teamwork. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for the location, helping to verify credentials, visitor registrations, delivery documentation, and/or vehicle access permissions in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including gates, loading and unloading areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones, noting conditions that may need attention.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and communication related to arrivals, departures, inspections, and other security-related activities that support daily operations at a logistics and distribution location.
