As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will welcome visitors, manage entry points, verify credentials, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting mobile checks, visible presence, and timely assistance across the property. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing and/or retrieving visitor credentials, managing key and/or access card accountability, and documenting entries and exits.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and access control systems, and report irregular activity per post orders and escalation guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with property management and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, and complete patrol and incident reports using required logs and/or electronic systems.
