Security Officer - Access Point Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Access Point Driver in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will support access control by checking credentials, issuing badges, logging visitors, and monitoring entry points. You will complete routine patrols, document security-related concerns, and communicate clearly while delivering strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Control access at gates and entry points by verifying identification, issuing and/or collecting badges, managing visitor and contractor check-in, and maintaining required logs.
- Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic, coordinate deliveries and service providers per site rules, and report unauthorized access attempts to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, checking doors, fencing, and restricted zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
