Security Officer - Access Control / Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Mira Loma, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location where you will manage access control, verify credentials, monitor entry points and/or cameras, and complete routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, processing visitors and contractors, issuing and/or tracking badges, and maintaining accurate sign-in and sign-out records for personnel, deliveries, and drivers.
- Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems as assigned, and report suspicious activity to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, yards, loading docks, and the perimeter, and complete required reports and checklists.
