About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Marietta, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under the AU Driver Policy Requirements, with routine mobile presence and responsive communication to support site operations. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at an industrial chemical location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, authorizations, and vehicle credentials, and by issuing and collecting visitor badges and passes as required.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and other access control systems, and communicate required notifications to site contacts according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas such as gate lines, staging areas, and perimeter routes, reporting unusual conditions and/or potential policy violations.
