Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a residential location, where you will monitor entry points, verify visitors and credentials, and support residents with professional communication and customer service. You will remain visible, conduct routine observations, and help to deter security-related incidents while contributing to a caring, reliable team that values agility, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard card is required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at the residential location, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized entry through consistent access control practices.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and/or delivery records, report unusual activity, and support security-related documentation in accordance with site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property, common areas, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
