About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support smooth daily operations. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Candidates must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor and/or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Candidates should be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Candidates should be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels when needed.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by observing site activity, challenging individuals as appropriate, and reporting unusual or suspicious behavior.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary throughout the location.
