As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for all who enter. This position requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your duties. Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the healthcare location, verifying credentials and logging visitor information as required by site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, patients, and staff with directions and information related to access procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
Communicate observed irregularities, such as property damage or unauthorized persons, to appropriate Allied Universal or client contacts.
Maintain accurate records and logs of access control activities and incident reports as required by the healthcare location.
Support emergency response activities in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.
