About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Riverside, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access-control records.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, trailer yards, loading docks, and the facility perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Document observations, incidents, and access-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client site procedures.
