About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Coral Gables, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• An armed guard card/license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, process visitor access, and report unusual activity or access-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with professionalism, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public officials as needed.
• Help to control entry to restricted areas by following posted instructions, screening procedures, and badge or identification requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting conditions that may require attention and reporting security-related issues according to site policies.
