About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Laredo, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage entry and exit activity, monitor assigned areas, and support security-related operations with strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and work with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and always acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and following Allied Universal protocols for entry and exit at the location.
  • Monitor gates, entrance points, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, document visitor and vehicle activity, and report unusual or suspicious security-related conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, access issues, and/or operational disruptions common to a logistics and distribution location.
