About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Pawleys Island, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access at entry points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and maintain required logs and records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, guests, property staff, and emergency responders while reporting incidents and unusual conditions according to site-specific procedures.
