About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Windsor, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will welcome visitors, manage access control, support badge and alarm procedures, and help with security-related concerns through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor processing, and/or access control activities for a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and/or credentials, maintain visitor and delivery records, and help to support authorized entry procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols and emergency response guidelines when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, assist employees, visitors, and drivers with directions and check-in expectations, and communicate security-related information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Observe front desk and nearby entry areas for unusual activity, document incidents and daily activity, and help to deter unauthorized access through professional presence and attention to detail.
