About The Position

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, and security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, check in deliveries and/or guests, and help to deter unauthorized access to docks, warehouses, offices, and other restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations, activities, and security-related concerns according to site protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, trailer yards, loading areas, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Support daily operations by maintaining accurate logs, communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership, and following emergency response activities when appropriate.
