Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identity and/or authorization, and document visitor activity in accordance with location policies.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, identify unusual activity, and observe conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Support a respectful and professional environment by communicating clearly with residents and staff, assisting with directions and questions, and following post orders for shelter operations.
