Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Pennington, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing exceptional customer service. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. This position requires a valid driver's license.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals entering or exiting the premises and responding to inquiries regarding site-specific policies and procedures.
Carry out security-related procedures as outlined by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines, including reporting and documenting any irregularities or incidents.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Collaborate with site personnel and/or local law enforcement as needed to address incidents or emergencies at the location.
Maintain accurate logs and records of all activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
