About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Brookwood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor logs, and support a smooth flow of employees, contractors, and deliveries. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site contacts. Requirements

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at gates and/or entry points by checking identification and authorization, issuing temporary credentials when directed, and directing authorized traffic to the correct location.
• Monitor and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity using sign-in logs, access control systems, radios, and/or telephone communications, and report irregularities per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support security-related operations.
