About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Lewisberry, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and related security-related policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points for the location, help to deter unauthorized access, and document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and completing required reports.
• Support screening and checkpoint activity for people, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location, following established procedures for a logistics and distribution environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.
